Wroclaw – the meeting place

We couldn’t have chosen a better place for the organization of Poland IT Meeting than Wroclaw.

This biggest city of western Poland is perfectly connected with the whole world by a modern airport, convenient motorway and numerous railways. It is not a coincidence that Wroclaw was one of the host cities during Euro 2012. What is more, it has been chosen to be the European Capital of Culture in 2016, and in 2017 it will host the 10th edition of the World Games.

Visiting Wroclaw creates an opportunity to experience over 1000-year history of the city, shaped over the centuries by 4 different nations. Wroclaw is often called „the Venice of the North” because of 117 bridges and footbridges in its borders which connect 12 islands.
Tourist attractions in Wroclaw link up history and modernity. Architecture and art lovers will be thrilled with the historic Old Town and the „Panorama Raclawicka” – an impressive painting with its width of nearly 120 m and height of 15 m placed in a specially built for this purpose rotunda. Other things that are a real must-see: the unique world of Afrykarium in the Wroclaw ZOO Park as well as the stunning multimedia fountain – one of the largest in Europe.

Vibrant city

Wroclaw is a city of youth and energy. There are over 140 000 students in this major academic centre. Great atmosphere and the presence of skilled professionals were appreciated by the world’s largest companies, such as Google, IBM, Hewlett Packard, LG, Nokia-Siemens and Amazon. Huge number of investments, as well as zeal and diligence of people made Wroclaw one of the fastest growing cities in this part of Europe.
Wroclaw is a vibrant city which never sleeps. After long hours at work, there is time for relax and some fun. Countless clubs, pubs and restaurants, including Piwnica Swidnicka – one of the oldest ones in Europe – guarantee an excellent entertainment and, of course, unforgettable tastes and flavours of cuisines from every part of the world. You cannot leave Wroclaw without trying our traditional dishes – pierogi, bigos or flaki! Those popular Polish specialties won’t be forgotten.
